I thought I had dropped down farther than that with the new system . . . .

Xn F M, I think you get 1 more for tenure.

1 (base) + 4 (tenure) + 1 (rep) + 0 (posts) = 6 for me. Only 100 or so more posts until they increase my power.

Are you using the new rep format?

for every 6 months since their registration, users gain 1 additional Power
for every 1600 posts made, users gain 1 additional Power
for every 400 Reputation Points a user has, he or she gains 1 additional Power

I've actually never done this calc before.

Right now:

Base = 1
Tenure = 6
Posts = 2
Rep = 8

Total = 17

However, in 7 more posts, I'll be a 18

Rep - 3

So, I hit for 6.
