The Book of First Officer Bok-Bur-Na
The Book of First Officer Bok-Bur-Na Battle for the Wellspring - Age of Annihilation If you cannot see the Army Card graphic, check Renegade's Story Page for stats and special powers, plus "character biography" and other non-game unit info.Basic Side:
Spoiler Alert!
Character Bio: Marro, like any sentient species, have varied cultures. Some revel in a cruel caste system, engineering their own kin from birth to be servants and workers. But others are more egalitarian. To them, the hive is a source of comfort, and a way to feel belonging with their fellows in a harsh world. When the sinister Valkyrie General Utgar summoned Marro indiscriminately to serve him, some were inevitably from different hives. Thus, Bok-Bur-Na has been separated from his kin. He misses them terribly. And he will do anything to make Utgar, and all the Valkyrie, pay dearly for the emptiness he now feels in his soul. Quote:

Re: The Book of First Officer Bok-Bur-Na
Since he's Medium+Utgar, Torin's Evil Eye Protection works through him.
Since he's Terrifying, he can make use of Ataraxis's Terror Enhancement Field. |

Re: The Book of First Officer Bok-Bur-Na
Bok-Bur-Na is a hivelord without a hive.
Irrespective of his official bio, and the questionable choice in shorts, here's the environmental storytelling I infer from his army card and sculpt: His name ends in -Na, like our two previous mounted Hivelords. However, he doesn't have a mount, and since he clearly won't be snacking on entire Nagrubs, he can't be a Hivelord in-game. He has the Terrifying personality, like two of the previous Hivelords (and Tul-Bak-Ra) as well. I thus consider him akin to Jack Sparrow. Jack is a captain with out a ship. BBN claims the name "-Na", and may have been a hivelord at some point, and refuses to lose the title, in spite of losing his hive. He seems reasonably okay with calling himself a Captain, projecting some authority amongst the new Pirate faction. But now consider his abilities. He's a Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. He can drop foe's defenses by 1, but at shorter range than evil Raelin, and only works for Pirates. He can double attack, but only at melee and only one hit is at full strength He can heal on kill, but only at melee and only 35% of the time, unlike Life Drain. (40% with Su-Bak-Na on his team, of course, but unless a Marro pirate squad shoes up, you probably won't run them together). Clearly Bok-Bur-Na slots more easily into a Pirate team than a Marro one, but non-Hivelord Marro Heroes have historically been rather standalone. Actually, the Hivelord-without-a-hive story seems consistent with his AoA bio, if we choose to read it as a propaganda piece, akin to something written by a murderous pirate with a heart-shaped tattoo reading "Mother": Quote:
A one-line change is all it would have taken to make him a versatile choice in either a Pirate or Marro army: Intimidate should work with Marro units. At least the og Marro Warriors can be hired Crimson Widow to count as Pirates. Hopefully she releases soon. Quote:
