Re: Patroller E-25 Public Playtesting
Highways and Dieways (Swamp Edition)
410 Army: Gilbert, Knights x4 Army: Greenscales x3, Bambina, Patroller E-25 Survivors: 7 Knights First 2 rounds for knights were all slow rolling up into the hillock on their side, while Bambina moved his Scales. (much slower since Gilbert can move 8 figures/turn and Bambina only 3). On the final turn of Round 2 E-25 advances into a defensible spot next to Bambina ensuring Combat Challenge will avoid any attacks to E-25 for the duration (E25 snipes a Knight) From there, the knights come crashing in and even with the more defensible position the 9 greenscales + Hero eventually give way to the overwhelming knights. With Movement from Gilbert and all the road negating their normal slow detriment. Bambina and the Scales were only able to take out 6 Knights before the Scales were knocked under a squad. From there the most pertinent attack option was to fire away with 5 attack from E-25 until Bambina fell. Bambina tanked a lot of attacks with height and combat challenge protecting E-25. E-25 got 5 Order Markers while Bambina tanked, but only killed 2 knights in those 5 attacks of 5v4 (3 total) Bambina did go down letting E-25 take her place which allowed E-25 to have height on all attacks but one. It's an interesting decesion point against E-25 on how and where to attack. Especially with Gil allowing an attack boost. Gil elected for low ground to boost more attacks. This led to 2 attacks of 4v4 and 1 attack of 3v4 and one attack of 3v3......E-25 blocked all 4 attacks (Maximum 3 Kinetic Energy Markers) E-25 opted to unleash hell on Gilbert (as opposed to blasting knights) with 4 attacks of 6 (Hydra jealous). However Gilbert survived somehow with a single life point. The same attack sequence by the knights this time put 2 wounds on E-25 (and 2 power markers). The 3 attacks of 4 killed Gilbert and 1 Knight. Now with the attack boost gone and +2 defense for E-25 things could get pretty worrisome for the Knights, but after 2 blocks, the 3rd Knight rolled 3 skulls and only a 1/6 defense for E-25 killed him. Powers Power Cells + Pulse Rifle -Kinetic Energy Powered 3 times (Unleashed 4 attacks of 6 that did 5w Gilbert) -Kinetic Energy Powered 2 times (killed Gilbert and 1 Knight) -Kinetic Energy Powered 2 times (killed before use) Prioritized Systems got hit for 2 wounds to give +2 def and -2 attack Didn't survive the next barrage. Damage: Gilbert, 4 Knights (185 points) I like how this unit plays and I basically sacrificed Bambina to keep E-25 alive. That really inflates the damage he did, but how swingy if this unit survives a round of attacks and can unleash 4 attacks from height at full or near full power. On the other hand, taking a wound or two early really drop the offensive potential. Have to keep an eye on the big games from the green bot. I do really like how much you have to consider how to approach the unit and when to utilize. - |

@jedilou
, it's from the Starfinder Battles Galactic Villains blisterpack, announced here two years ago.
We can forgive, and we can repent. It’s the gospel of repentance. We’re told that the angels envy men their ability both to forgive and to repent because they can’t do either. -- Hugh Nibley |
