Just played it out. Cap got the first attack and still lost. Task had 4 wounds, blocking a 5 skull attack in the final round for the win.

Yeah, could have gone either way. They feel pretty evenly matched.
Cap has the edge in Defense though Task has the capacity to hang and swordplay gives him extra chances to roll at least two skulls.

So for background, I've been looking at military/training type stuff.

I thought it would be cool to have a sci-fi hangar that looked like it might be on a Helicarrier or something. The only reasonable option I found was this 3D model thing. Don't know if that's usable.

I also thought a boot camp obstacle course would be cool as well, but I couldn't find a shot without people in it. So unless Taskmaster is training guys on this thing, I haven't found anything yet. I'll keep looking.'

Last time I promise, I think it's a mistake and a theme fail for this guy to potentially roll more Defense dice than anyone else in the game! He is definitely not on that level. People like Thor, Superman, the Hulk, Rulk, and Invincible should be leveling this guy. Taskmaster is not the type to benefit from studying any of those power houses because he'd never stand toe to toe with them. IMO, we can get away with a high total defense roll, but not higher than say 8. Therefore with Defense stat at 3, that would be 5 max. This still leaves room for height and boosters like Cap to get him up to 10 (which I find ridiculous, but also very situational). I honestly think no max will need to be re-evaled eventually because Hulk+height+booster could get him to 17. Does that really sound reasonable to anyone? For any figure?

I guess my main thing is that no matter how many dice he rolls, he’s still less effective against those heavy hitters than Harley Quinn I (130 points) with her dodge. I feel like several people are treating it like he’s going to be regularly tanking hits from a Hulk or whatever, when statistically that’s not true.

If Hulk rolls 12 skulls like in your example, and Taskmaster rolls 17 defense dice, that means Taskmaster is averaging 5.66 shields, so he’s most likely dead in 1 hit. Sure there may be that rare 1 in 1,000 moment where he does manage to block a crazy hit from the Hulk, but it’s also possible for any unit to block an attack from the Hulk, just because of how the Heroscape dice work. Meanwhile Harley I with height and Cap has 5 defense dice and is far more likely to escape a 12 skull attack.

I feel like just because the mechanics on Taskmaster’s power are slightly different it’s being treated like some crazy new thing when it isn’t really.
