Re: Xzaldar's Custom Tiles

Just a few qwick thoughts.

1. If you don't have spare tiles to use as a base, you can get non cell cardboard {cereal box type} from many sources. Or see if you can wheedle Leafkicker into selling some of his terrain bases straight. The non cell cardboard dose not have the gaps in the sides. You could also try old binders and such for the sheets of plastic.

2 The bridge would look much cooler with the ends cut off and a little color. Cutting off the ends can be done with any razorblade and you can get a click style nife for a buck at most dollar stores. Definitely get one with a handle and be careful I have 4 finger prints where the whirls don't line up straight any more. You can give the bridge a nice gray wash to make the wood look weathered. Or a brown wash to make it look stained. Those two qwick steps hide the Popsicle stick look.

3. If you had fun keep it up. I love the people who look for the every day and work with that. Anyone can make terrain out of some kit.

Timemaster4 is surprisingly tart
Re: Xzaldar's Custom Tiles

Please post some pictures of the tiles on some terrain, and I would suggest painting the bridge.

Re: Xzaldar's Custom Tiles

The natural rocks are a good idea, as you can see I am fan of that myself. However the thick cardboard really detracts from the piece I might suggest mounting the piece on a tile instead.

Extra glyphs make good bases as well.

Re: Xzaldar's Custom Tiles

i'm going to try to build the popsicle bridge. i have some spraypaint and some watercolor paints, some Blendy Pens for detail. they're already wood, so i wont do much except paint tiles and put details. i have some spare binders, but i plan on keeping the plastic for a LOS blocker i have in store for the future. nice work too, the pics are pretty good.
