I like that Magneto can throw a figure next to a Street Light and then rip it from the ground to shock them.

I had an idea waking up this morning. Choose a figure adjacent to the street light to get zapped and then just lay it on its side after you move it. No getting hurt when you move it and no worries about destruction timing either.

Before this Street Light is moved, you may choose an adjacent figure without the Electrically Charged special power and roll one unblockable attack die against it. After this Street Light is moved, lay it on its side so that it takes up three hexes in a straight line and negate this special power for the rest of the game.

Is 3 hexes the right length for this?

What if there aren’t 3 empty same level spaces in a row next to where it is placed? That doesn’t seem to work on a lot of our maps.

Before moved does make thematic sense in terms of when the electrical sparks would be flying. I think it also takes care of the timing issues.

I think it's probably cleaner to just have it destroyed after moving, though.

That works if we FAQ that it gets removed after throwing damage is resolved.

Do we want to go with each adjacent figure getting zapped or just one chosen figure?

How would you choose who gets zapped? Thematically?

Also anything that happens due to movement, like the unblockable from Avengers Hulk, would trigger from the move still. I guess that can be FAQed, but seems intuitive to me.
