Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I feel like it should have the "no additional figure" clause as we usually do. He can already bond with anyone, no need for chains.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
Yep. We've typically worked to shut down bonding chains. I think it's fairly acknowledged that they can start creating broken combs fairly easily, and probably not what you want with a 120 point figure that already has Healing Factor and passive movement and wounding.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
The problem is if you take a turn AFTER Zombie. With that wording, Batman could take a turn, then Robin, but NOT Zombie. But you COULD do Batman > Zombie > Robin.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
You are probably right. I think other bonding turns would have to go immediately after the figure they're bonding with and couldn't wait for a Zombie turn to be in between. I was playing the Deadpool, Harley Quinn (I), Zombie combo last night for instance, with Deadpool holding the Amulet, and Harley's Insane Devotion reads that she has to take an immediate turn after Deadpool and you can't do any additional turns.
Zombie is also immediate, though .... So would the mechanics technically prevent you from stacking the powers if you went Deadpool's turn, Zombie's turn, Harley's turn? You wouldn't have taken a turn with Harley yet when Zombie was activated and you wouldn't be taking additional turns after Harley. They'd both trigger as immediately as possible due to the triggers hitting simultaneously. Edit: C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
Actually, your example doesn't work as Robin's power says immediately.

You could just read the playtests. There are only 3 of them. This one used bonding chains:

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
Looks like it’s not something that was very thoroughly tested at the time, but that was ruled as allowable.

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
The CRB are aware and this a reason why he is considered such a solid design.
Dropping that chaining will hurt his value. |

Re: The Book of Glyph of Amulet of Damballah
OK. I needed a quick answer last night for my playtest and asked one CRB member who told me that combination sounded overcosted, so I didn't test with it. Good to know it's possible and intended, though (since it's better if something's possible for it to have been intended).
My personal view is he's worth the 120 points pretty easily without the chaining, but I'm not a Hero, a highly competitive player, or on the CRB, so clarification is enough for me. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
