Yeah, I know they hinted at or alluded to him being the purple man fairly well without crossing the line into full purple man mode. I also agree that it worked better with him not actually being purple for the majority of the show, a purple guy walking around would stand out and throw up some alarm bells in people. Since the show exist in the MCU, where we have a talking racoon, a walking living tree, blue & green skinned aliens, actual magic users, Norse gods come to life, etc. it would have been nice to see them embrace the craziness of the purple skin right at the end of his story arc. They are branching out into some pretty crazy stuff with the Hand and Danny Rand already on Netflix.

I'm two episodes into Luke Cage now and I'm enjoying it so far. I guess we were suppose to watch Daredevil season 2 first but...oops.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

I don't recall anything in particular that occurs in Luke Cage that was first set up in DD2, if their was it was pretty minor. The only thing that will feel off for you is when you watch DD2 and wonder why they never once mention or reference the events that take place in Luke Cage as a bunch of his story takes place in the public eye.

yeah and a certain minor character that got arrested at the end of Daredevil season one shows up in the first two episodes of Luke before saying..."I'm going back to Hell's Kitchen where it's safer"

I'm guessing he has an appearance in Season 2 of DD that explains how he escaped FBI custody.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

I think he is just part of the revolving door issue that plagues the criminal justice system in their world.

I cheated and looked him up. Apparently he was in DD season 2 with a tracker like he was out on parole or something...he seems like the snitch type so he possibly got out early.
