Being that it was a crappy day today, the family watched Jumanji (the new one), which my daughters and I had seen at the theaters, but my wife hadn't. Then my daughters and I watched The Greatest Showman, which we had seen at the theater. My wife didn't want to watch it because she's totally against circuses and the way animals were treated.

Two really great movies from the last 5 months, loved both of them. Also thoroughly enjoyed Ready Player One and look forward to subsequent future viewings.

I get that they are marketing the movie to kids as well, but I could do without the cutsie crap from the little robot and those little big eyed bird type things.
Ive watched it 3 times now. Once in the theatre and twice on my blueray. I am just sad about it a little bit. If they had fans writing new star wars movies they'd be 100 times better than this.

Harsh opinions incoming!!
Having had time to dwell on it over the months (hard to be objective after the high of a first viewing), I have come to the conclusion that The Last Jedi is by far the worst Star Wars film I've seen in the franchise. And yes, I have seen the Holiday Special.

A YouTuber named MauLer made a series of videos detailing the film's problems that more or less sums up how I feel about the film. If you need some catharsis from the pain or are curious as to why people hate the movie so much, I'd check them out: here (if you have five hours to spare that is)

I watched (and loved) Avengers: Infinity War last night. The Russos actually manage to keep an incredible number of plates spinning at once while switching smoothly from the relatively grounded tone of their Captain America movies to the more epic, sci-fi tone needed for this story.

As an added bonus, I ran into fellow 'Scaper @IshMEL at the movie theater, who was celebrating his birthday. Happy birthday!
