Adjectival madness -- What to call Generals' troops
Adjectives and group nouns from place or loyalty nouns are tricky. America has Americans. Germany has Germans. The Republican Party has Republicans, but the Democratic Party has Democrats. France has French. England has English. Mexico has Mexicanos or Mexicans or Chicanos or Hispanics.
So what about our HeroScape Generals? Jandar's followers are what?? Jandish, Jardarites, Jandarians?? Utgars? Utgarish? Vydars? Vydaristas? Einars? Einarazi? Ullars? Ullarizarians? What do you call them? What should we call them? |

I'm for using the -ians ending but I do like Ullarites for some reason.
So I propose the followings: Jandarians Utgarians Vydarans (notice no 'i') Einarians Ullarites Newb. |

Re: Adjectival madness
Utgars? Utters (or gars)
Vydars? Vyds (sweedish accent: yah oon you are a Vydir Hider) Einars? Eins (or Einer forty nineers) Ullars? Lers (Skullers) |

I always called them:
Jandarians Utgarians Vydarians Ullarians Einarians. That just seems natural. Although I do like Ullarites. Dan's Mom: "Why you persist in acting like a fifteen year old is beyond me." Dan: "I'm filled with reckless desire." |

Don't know about the others but Einar should have Eineese

I like LittleNewbie's Ullarites. Vydarites would work nice that way too.
Jandarian sounds good and noble. Einarian is good. I like Utgards. Sounds more evil than Utgarians.

I tend to go with the -ian ending
Jandarians, Utgarians, Ullarians, Einarians, Vydarians (but I do Like Newb's Vydarans) To me it only makes sense since in Latin (which much of English is derived from) the suffix -ian (or -iani) means "belonging to ________". So a Jandarian basically--> One belonging to Jandar, much the same as a word that was originally meant as an insult "Christian" --> One belonging to Christ. Rath Dé ort! |

I just call them by the general's name. For example:
Raelin is Jandar; Grimnak is Utgar. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

I agree with Johnny. Taelord is Utgar, Raelin is Jandar. I use the term as the general's name and as their "nationality."

I say Raelin is good. Taelord is bad.
But if I had to vote I'd go with these: Jandar - Jandinavian Ullar - Ullpudlians Vydar - Vycunians Einar - Einese (that was perfect darth_stalker) Utgar - Utite |
