C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT DEATHLOK

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
PASS

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.
PASS

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.
PASS

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak.
PASS –

- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any.

- FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play.

- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against.

- DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting.

Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 240
- Give a brief overview. . When dealing with figures in this price range, DL is going to face some other figures that have either multiple attacks that can chip away or huge attacks that can hit him hard. Either way, with only being able to repair 1 wound/round, when the wounds get piled on hard and fast, the repair just can't keep up. He's got a nice attack and defense as well, but in this price range, he's not alone with these attacks and defenses. He has no special defense like some, and while his repair can help, he needs to have time to use it.

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES
- What should be the unit's point value? 220
- Give a brief overview. ..AIM was just nasty with their Weaponized Virus attack and got attacks of 6 or 7 and even 8 for the last one vs. DL with height. His Plasma Burst wasn't rolling that great and AIM's Suits gave them +1 auto shield vs. Special attacks, so they matched well against DL. He rolled a shield for Seeking Humanity.

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES
- What should be the unit's point value? 230
- Give a brief overview. .DL got height for awhile and used normal attack, but GCW were able to get adjacent to him and getting attacks of 5 or 6. Too much for him, especially if he isn't killing one each time. Even when 1 attacked him from lower level, a good roll from 5 attack dice is dangerous even with 7 defense from height.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No?.YES
- What should be the unit's point value? .220
- Give a brief overview...Deathlok killed 4 Hydra Agents, 2 AIM Agents and put 1 wound on Madame Hydra. He did most of the killing in one round but died before he had to roll for Seeking Humanity that round, and rolled a shield in the previous round after killing a human. I had hoped Cyborg would last longer and clear out some of the Hydra Agents, but it didn't work out like that with some bad dice luck and being out-ranged. Ultimately the range of 6 for the AIM and Hydra Agents and 7 for Madame H were the downfall for the three opponents with ranges of 5 and 4 (for Cyborg's effective range). I'd hoped the Repair would help keep them in the game longer and figured they two of the units had multiple attack and crowd clearing specials, but there was just too many Agents to use as fodder for the HYDRA faction.

Units: . Deathlok (240) Hush (220) and Cyborg (200) for 660 points. Vs. Hydra Agents x 3 (240), Baron von Strucker (210), Madame Hydra (140) and AIM Agents x 1 (70) for 660 points.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES
What should be the unit's point value? .240
- Give a brief overview. .Well in this game, DL did a lot of damage with normal attacks as it was a better option than Plasma Burst. He took control of Red Tornado 1 out of 3 times, which could have easily been 2 of 3 or 3 of 3. RT put 1 wound on his teammate Hawkman when DL took control of him. I will say though, RT's army probably wasn't the best match-up, but it really could have been closer because RT's team just rolled horrible dice for the majority of the game while DL's team rolled incredible dice. Rogers lasted much longer than he should have as he withstood 2 attacks from height by RT (7 dice) and didn't take any wounds. The key to the game though was the OM flex that Rogers offered his team, as well as the mobility and ranged threat that Hawkeye added. The OM flex really helped Deathlok do what he did and not be afraid to take a chance in enemy territory because Rogers could alter his plan if DL got killed. But to get within 5 spaces of Red Tornado for Nano-Hacking was important enough to take the chance. I'd say that DL can certainly get bumped back up in cost to 240 just because there will be plenty of times he can be used like this against Androids in opponent's armies. He's got a move of 6 and NH7 is range of 5, so that's a pretty good threat. He also forces the enemy to focus on him and distracts from his other teammates, but when they concentrate on him, they may nullify his Repair keep him from sticking around.

The next army test will have Androids in the opponent's army. I had kind of wanted to see what he could do with another Repairing Cyborg where they both had multiple damage capabilities vs. squads, as well as have Deathlok go against Humans for Seeking Humanity.

So far he's kind of a jack of all trades, but not particularly powerful at any one thing. Perhaps his Nano-Hacking will make him more of a threat when going against Androids, but hopefully it's not so much so that his cost goes up to make him a niche Android counter.

2nd test done.

He certainly benefited by Commander Rogers' OM flex, so I can see DL having likewise benefits from others like Zemo or even Prof X when going against Sentinels. Pretty huge threat for Nano-Hack 7.

Cybernetic Repair really hasn't been a major thing for him as he's been concentrated on to get him out of the game, though I'm sure it can help in the long run, but not be a major aspect of his powers. Same with Seeking Humanity. I only rolled shields for the few times he had to roll for it. If anything, it can nullified be Repair. They are both at end of the round and the player could choose which comes first, just as long as he has the X.

Plasma Burst is a fine option vs. special defenses or squads, but he's got a nice normal attack vs. heroes.

I could see his cost go up, depending on public tests, as they may maximize NH7 more often, but then again, he's only got 5 lives and can be out with a couple of bad rolls. So while he can have some ups, he will have a target on his head vs. Androids/Cyborgs.
