Interesting direction. I like the concept of the portal and the slimmed down Demogorgon.
Mechanics question: If something is "considered part of the battlefield" can't you already teleport there just by saying "the battlefield"? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Sweet, that's good to know, thanks Bats!
I'm thinking off changing the Rift so that it can ONLY travel between separate battlefields cause that just makes more sense for what it is. Quote:
If there are Starting Zones that will be on these maps as well, that would matter, also if the Rift should place a sort of Nitro-esque placeholder of corresponding glyph for where it opens to instead of letting people consistently go anywhere, and if there should be some sort of marker system for those who go through for a recall to Rift ability are all things to think about. In addition to the Rift being closer The Demogorgon/s can basically go wherever they want as long as the Rift is open so I broadened that power. Quote:

I'd cut either Terrifying Presence or Scent of Blood. I don't think you need both and things are a bit overloaded as is.
Is the Dimensional Rift actually relevant at this point? Seems like the Demogorgons as is could be done completely without that. Like it's a neat idea, but maybe better as a save for a later time to not distract from focus type of thing? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Okay, excess is condensed. About a line referencing the Rift has been dropped. Presence has been rolled into Dragged. I left on Blood and "have six spaces away from a glyph" to counterbalance the teleport anywhere and often ability.
Basically it sums up as a wolf that picks off lost sheep from anywhere on the map. Quote:

Is the intent for the Demogorgon to never take leaving engagement attacks or just when moved in the way of the first power?
Scent of Blood has a weird interaction with the first power, since place = move mechanically. Scent of Blood currently requires him to teleport next to a wounded figure if possible. Is that intended? I'm not super sure what Scent of Blood is doing for the card other than, I guess, acting as a weakness. If disengages is always on, though, that's at least a little bit less of a weakness. I'm not completely sure from the mechanics if it's requiring compulsory movement when you can or if it just means that if you're already moving, that's a guideline. The less life limiter for teleporting means they'll only be able to teleport about 10% of C3G designs. So I guess their best competitive use will be at the start of the first round start zone bombing with whatever common figures are particularly nasty to surround an enemy with turn one. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Alright, edits are made up above, thanks for the pointers!
The blood bit is indeed intended to weaken the portal power, so I tied it directly to it. They are pretty drawn to it as the teenagers use it as a lure and as soon as it takes a beating from them, it goes and wrecks the lab goons at the school after again being drawn to blood. I just put a flat 3 or less Life, I think that would cover who/what they could tackle. Does "Life remaining" also include total Life in general? Just wanna make sure. edit: also the intended interaction with or idea behind Dragged is that they can take their victim wherever they want to finish them and don't have to worry about porting to a wounded figure if the figure they are moving itself is wounded, or at least that's how it should be, wording may need to be changed. |

Feels like there is a lot going on with this design if it needs a Glyph, a DO and a extra map. I think you can streamline it a lot and not need all the hardware. I would do something like this based on how the Demogorgon plays in Dead by Daylight (something I just played this week): Quote:
