Always looks good when a tester voluntarily does more than 3 tests, and he was clever to pick up on the Doctor Who connection. (Sonic Screwdriver might be better than I originally intended with Androids?) Very good tests overall.

I like the current draft (having not played it), but that's another playtester who's feeling like the protection theme isn't hitting.

So that's 5 wins in a row for those two testers, they seem to have had better luck with him then I was having. Several comments on the inability to actually protect the charge, but since he won every game I'm not sure that's a problem. Since he also survived 4 of those 5 matches, it seems as though they focused on taking out the Charge instead of the Terminator, which is maybe why the Terminator destroyed everything.

Can I just move him back up to 220 and call it a day here or is something else required?

If I remember the film correctly, he's honestly less of an 'I've got your back' protector and more of a 'stay out of the way and let me handle this' guy.

I maintain that his killing everything is a valid form of protection.

What's the margin of victory look like on testing? I think we should have enough data at this point to vote for Final Editing.

I'll say I seem to recall him stepping in front of John a bunch and making him the target for gun fire instead of the kid. So maybe just something where you can't attack the charge with a ranged attack if they are adjacent to each other would get the protector vibe across. He's already trending up without a new power though, how much would a power like that add to his cost and where would it fit on the card?

Yeah, I think that kind of “protecting through attacking” feels very on-brand, just seems like a few playtesters haven’t felt it’s significant enough.

That being said, like I mentioned, I dig the draft. I’d be happy to see it forward, probably at 230. But 220 also doesn’t seem like the end of the world.

The thing that seems evocative to me is that, while he's protecting through attacking, you can also be protecting his charge by having them run the other way. That honestly feels like most of the action scenes in the film, from my memory (not seen it in years, though).

Just an idea for a smaller change, what if the power worked more like Ms. Marvel (Carol)? Terminator takes a turn before his Charge, then when the Charge takes their turn they can’t attack? That might encourage more gameplay where Terminator can run in and engage any figures next to the Charge, then the Charge can easily flee on their turn.

Looking at it again, if you didn't have Red's tests is would look pretty good with the only big win coming from Jekyll who also gave us his biggest loss.
