Unit Height Number Relative to Real Height?

Nakita Agents. Height 4. Are these three girls actual the same height (not figure size, but if the game came to life) as 4 tiles are is 4 just the statistical number that contributied to them being 120 points?

Before you criticize some one, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away and have their shoes.

I thought it was a decent, relevant question...especially for those of us who may have other figures we're trying to incorporate into other games systems.

If there is some basis for determining height, I'd certainly be interested.

HeroscaperHuh, maybe pick a different type of card next time...lol

Merry Christmas everyone!

I think four is just their overall size, not height per se. For instance, we all know that the Deathstalkers are size LARGE 5. The figures are obviously not five tiles high, but the deathstalkers are quadrupedal, attributing them a larger size than 3 (about how 'tall' they are).

The number next to the size correlates to how high the figure can actually climb. yes some would actually need a move boost to be able to do it, but they can. So the Nakita agents can only make a change in elevation 4 tiles high or less.

Hope that helps.

Actually, being height 4, the Nakitas can only climb an elevation 3 tiles high or less. Figures can't climb an elevation equal to or greater than their height.

For the most part, a figure's height (especially single spaced heroes) is approximately the height of that figure standing next to that number of hexes.

I think one level is about one foot. Humans are, for the most part, 5 or 6 feet high, with the human figures mostly having a size of 5 or 6.

The human figures mostly have size of 4 and 5, though ... (4 for squaddies). Are you saying most agents of the future are four foot tall? :P

Scale in HS is nearly impossible to determine. And it isn't even necessary.

Size and height are not perfect in HS when considering the actual size and height of the figures. I mean the Snipes are Medium 5, while Eldgrim is Medium 4. Aren't the Snipes twice as big when placed adjacent to each other? It's just for a reference to let you know how high they can climb or attack when adjacent with different height, which might actually impact their point cost. If it does impact their point cost, IMO it might be a secondary factor to lives, defense, range, movement and attack.

I don't care about choosing my army based on strategy. I choose an army based on coolness and personal appeal... even if it means that my units will die trying. Hail to the glory of HeroScape and bravery.
