Character Bio - After initially being surprised and overwhelmed by Skynets Terminator Infiltration models, the human resistance movement started capturing and studying them looking for weaknesses. They soon learned they could reprogram this model to protect a target instead of hunt for one, and began sending these reprogrammed Terminators back through time to protect those Skynet was trying to eliminate from the time line. Their human like appearance allowed them to blend into the past, while their combat features made them very good bodyguards.

PROTECTION PROGRAMMING
At the start of the game, you must choose a small or medium Unique Hero you control without the Super Strength or Flying special powers to be Terminator's Charge. After a numbered Order Marker is revealed on the Charge's card, before taking a turn with the Charge you may take a turn with Terminator. If you do, you may not attack with any other figures this turn. If its Charge is on the battlefield, Terminator may only attack figures within 6 spaces of its Charge. Figures engaged with Terminator may not roll for leaving engagement attacks.

COMBAT SHOTGUN SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 4. Attack 2.
Each skull rolled counts as an additional hit. When Terminator attacks with this special attack, it may attack one additional time.

UNSTOPPABLE RESILIENCE
If Terminator would receive one or more wounds, ignore one of those wounds.

SUPER STRENGTH

I think this aligns with how we last left this design concept while being merged with what came out of the completed Hunter thread. Updated that thread title with (Hunter), while this one gets the (Protector) tag. Pretty straight forward, same stats as the Hunter, same resilience power, this one is programmed to follow one character around (slowly) and defend them from threats instead of hunting an opponents figures. Then the shot gun is loaded up with slugs to take down other terminators with instead of buckshot to wipe out crowds of humans. Shotgun is stronger for sure so I'm expecting a bump up in price from the Hunter who finished at 200. The free move (follow) vs free move (infiltrate) I'm not sure on which will be better. Could be a wash. His overall slow move of 4 will keep a faster unit he's protecting from moving too quickly though, so it could end up being a slight drawback too.

Design looks solid. Maybe limit Protection Programming to Humans, or figures without Super Strength?

Sorry I just now updated the name/SI to match what we went with for the Hunter. Crossover symbol is fine. We could also use the Model 101 bit here if we wanted to make it different than the other one, since we know 101 references the Arnold looking one that was reprogrammed in movies and the figure looks like. But then the other one won't have a model number since we have no idea what the bald headed model number is.

Limiting it to no SS sounds good to me. Programming it to protect Superman or Thor doesn't make much sense, but the mutant kid would.

Yep this seems like a good use for a Crossover Symbol if they're the same model. Don't know much about Terminator Lore though.

Any thoughts on a background for the mini here? For the hunter we went with a wrecked car on fire but this one should have a different feel for a different role. Maybe just something simple like a brick wall.

Custom Terminator Mini Guide

1. Start with a Nomad Heroclix figure.

2. Clip off his ponytail by pulling it away from his back and snipping it off with some clippers (a hobby knife or even scissors will also work if you don't have clippers).





3. Shave down the little nub left over so the back of his head is smooth.



4. Shave off the big yellow buttons on Nomad's vest and the N shaped belt buckle.



5. Now you are ready to repaint the mini.



Repaint his hair brown so the area where the pony tail was is now brown and that brown matches the rest of his hair.
Paint the sunglasses black.
Paint the Vest black and cover up the area where the buttons were, fix the area around his belt buckle, and paint his arms black to turn the vest into a long sleeved shirt. I also repainted the pants with the same black just to make sure they all matched, not all black paints look the same.
Paint on a large rectangle silver belt buckle.
Paint the boots a dark grey, you can also repaint the holster and belt with dark grey as well if you got some of the black paint on them.
