Units: Superman I and Batman I(600) vs Jackal, Invisable Woman and Pyro.

Batman and Jackal advance
Batman and Invisible Woman advance
Superman and Pyro advance with Pyro attacking Batman who evades and wounds Pyro.
Superman flys over and knocks out Pyro while Invisible Woman attacks Batman to no avail.
Batman attacks Invisable Woman wounding her slightly while Jackal sneaks up from behind and tries to wound him. Batman evades and wounds Jackal.
Batman finishes off Invisible Woman and Jackal puts 2 wounds on Batman.
Jackal puts another wound on Batman and Batman puts two wounds on Jackal.
Jackal finishes off Batman and Superman flies over and finishes off Jackal .
Who won and how many wounds did they have? The win goes to Batman and Superman with Batman being knocked out and no wounds on Superman.

Deadpool and Harley advance while Torch and Mr. Fan advance.
Jackal and Harley advance with Harley throwing the bomb to hit Torch and Mr. Fan. Torch takes a wound while Mr. Fan blocks and losses the X OM, Invisible Woman advances, Torch engages Harley who blocks and moves away and Mr. Fan attacks Harley who jumps away.
Ivy advances and fails to animate any plants, Harley engages Mr. Fan from height and puts one wound on him (I forgot that you get stuck to Mr. Fan, otherwise I wouldn't have engaged him)Invisaible Woman advances and attacks Harley with no wounds, Torch gains height on Deadpool and puts two wounds on him, Mr Fan attacks Harley, blocked.
Thing advances while Invisible Woman advances and attacks Harley to no avail, Torch finishes off deadpool and Mr. Fan fails to wound Harley, meanwhile Ivy animates a tree and wounds Invisible Woman but no Torch and Harley fails to wound Mr. Fan.
Thing advances, Torch flies over and attacks Ivy for 2 wounds and Mr. Fan fails to wound Harley
OM was on Deadpool, Thing engages Harley but no wound and Mr. Fan fails to wound her.
Thing and Mr. Fan fail to wound Harley and Torch puts 2 wounds on Ivy then Ivy phermones Torchthen advances and animates a tree that deals a wound to Thing and Mr. Fan.
Invisible Woman moves away from the tree and fails to wound Ivy, Mr. Fan deals 2 wounds to Harley and Ivy pheromones him in return.
OMs had been on Mr. Fan and Hugo advances.
Ivy Pheromones Invisible Woman (on a 20 no less) then fails to animate a tree while Harley fails to wound Thing. OM on Invisible Woman.
Torch engages Thing for 4 wounds from height and Mr. Fan fails to wound Thing. OM on Invisible Woman.
Ivy ends the game when she Pharemones Thing..
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Ivy wins hands down by stealing the entire Fantastic Four..

As a side note, you can use Hugo's power on Jackal to prevent Jackals experiment from taking a wound. Seeing as it can only happen once per game I don't think it will be that big of a deal, it comes down to a player being smart enough to see a little bit of synergy within our cards and it can't break the game.

That first game's too low in points to evaluate Jackal (and Superman+Batman, really?). The luck in the second one doesn't give us much info either.

Yup. That was my thoughts. Sure, they're played well, but there just isn't any real information to glean from them. I was impressed that Jackal was able to take out Bats on his own in that first test, but I think that's more some lucky dice than anything else.

Well, in his defense, the Batman Superman combo was a staple of Playtesting when he was really active. Over time, the points of armies in playtests have risen as the number of C3G designs slowly rose.

The thought used to be that Supes and Bats were so well tested that a side by side comparison helped tremendously. Have any of you ever read the old Worlds Finest tests? At least triple the testing went in to them as any other unit, not to mention the process now.

Oh I totally agree with that, and he performed pretty well in that test which tells me we're in the ballpark, just haven't nailed the cost down yet. Something I'm hoping to do soon.

- Give a brief overview. With two successful Cloning rolls, Mescal has a major effect on the game. Without those rolls, it wouldn't have been this close. In the end, his team still lost, but a fun game.

Unit Summary:

Experimental Cloning 15: 2 out of 5 rolls; very useful.

Jackal chooses Black Tarantula.

Round One: Both armies move up. Jubilee fires a shot, but no damage.

Round Two: BT moves and deals 3 wounds to Cyclops in two turns. Psylocke inflicts a few on BT, and he ends the round with 3 total.

Round Three: BT deals 3 wounds to Psylocke with an Oracle boosted roll. Psylocke and Mastermind team up to take him down. Jean moves in on the opponent's SZ.

Round Four: Spidey deals a wound to Jean, but takes one in return. The Mutants fail to do any other damage during the round, and Spider-Man KOs Psylocke.

Round Five: Jackal successfully clones Black Tarantula. Tarantula puts a wound on Jean, but that's all. Jean inflicts a wound to Spider-Man.

Round Six: BT takes a wound from KOing Jean, bringing in the Phoenix. Jean/Phoenix manage two more wounds on Spidey.

Round Seven: Spider-Man finally whiffs and is killed by Phoenix. Tarantula deals 3 wounds to Phoenix, but is killed. Kitty moves out and finishes off Jubilee.

Round Eight: Kitty does well, dealing 3 wounds to Mastermind before falling.

Round Nine: Phoenix KOs Oracle easily and moves in on Jackal. She does 3 wounds by the end of the round.

Round Ten: Jackal rolls: 15! BT gets a wound on Jean, but Phoenix Fire KOs Jackal. Phoenix also brings BT to 4 wounds. He rolls 3 skulls, she gets a shield. Rill for Phoenix Fire... skull, BT dies.

R10T5: Cyclops and Mastermind, each with 3/4 wounds.

- Give a brief overview.Jackal really struggled here, failing all of his Cloning rolls. Just one or two successful rolls would have helped tremendously.

Round One: Black Adam destroys a Sentinel, but takes two wounds.

Round Two: Adam puts three wounds on a Sentinel, but they bring him up to 5 total. Adam uses his last turn of the round to move in on Matter Mold, but fails to do any damage.

Round Three: MM brings back a Sentinel, then he puts a couple wounds on Black Adam. Adam deals MM three wounds to MM, then falls to his attacks. Spider-Man finishes of a wound Sentinel, then deals two to another.

Round Three: Spidey puts another wound on the wounded Sentinel. MM moves up. The Sentinels get through Spider-Sense and deal four wounds to Spidey.

Round Four: MM spend two OMs, but fails to bring back a Sentinel. Spidey destroys one, but is knocked out himself.

Round Five: Catwoman does no damage during her three turns. MM and the Sentinels deal three wounds to Catwoman and one to Jackal.

Round Six: Catwoman deals a wound to a Sentinel, and tires it down so that MM is forced to reposition his Sentinels.

Round Seven: The Sentinels KO Jackal.

Round Eight: The Sentinels being Oracle to three wounds and Catwoman to eight.

Round Nine: MM and the Sentinels finish things.

R9T3: MM 5/10 wounds, two Sentinels (2/4 and 0/4).

- What should be the unit's point value? 265ish
- Give a brief overview.Jackal did hit one of his rolls here, but it came late in the game, and Black Adam only got a single round of activations. This was much closer, and another Cloning roll could have won them the game.

Things went mostly the same for this rematch. Black Adam fell in the third round, and didn’t come back until the eighth. Master Mold failed all of his rolls to bring back the Sentinels, and this gave Army One a chance, but they couldn’t pull it out. Tough match-up for them, and bad luck.

R9T3 MM with 5/10 wounds.

As expected, Jackal's very swingy but very fun. He struggled in my last two games, in a tough matchup, but I think the design is fine. I could see his cost or the roll on Cloning coming coming down a tick.

I'm planning on running some tests here shortly, I just need to just the teams slightly. I'm going to try him out at 255 and see if I think his cost should go up or down from there. I agree that he seems to be trending downward though.
