Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
I think so. And, honestly, I don't think they should be physically as tough as Skrulls (because normal humans just aren't). They should be able to outnumber and outclever the Skrulls, though.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
Oh, and I am not too fond of Field Support. Maybe it is just the name, or yet another stat boosting power, or both, but I would rather see some Unique Agent Hero synergy. Like a Cover Fire type of power where you can move a Uniqe Agent Hero up to 3 spaces when you inflict one or more wounds.

They do lack a little on cowbell. I had the same reaction about both powers being stat boost powers.

Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
What about this:
Firefight, Crossfire, or Cover Fire If a friendly Unique Agent Hero within 5 spaces is targetted by a ranged attack, the SHIELD agent closest to the targetted figure may roll defense instead. Any additional shields rolled count as unblockable hits on the attacking figure. I would like to see them with a 3/3 and a +1/+1 boost with Hand-to-hand as well. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
We could always make them Common Heroes and give them a power like this:
FIREFIGHT After attacking with this SHIELD Agent, you may attack with each other SHIELD Agent you control within 5 clear sight spaces of this SHIELD Agent. Or is that too radical a change? I love the idea of bullets flying everywhere with these guys ... and FIREFIGHT is a great name for a power. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

So am I to assume you don't care for the idea of a ranged counterstrike representing a firefight?

Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
I'm just wary of adding more defending in place of other figures powers due to Heroic Duty type overlap being possible ... And I think giving it to a squad could get really messy potentially.

Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
Well correct me if I am wrong but some notable differences are that this one would be optional (Heroic Duty is a must), this works against Special and Normal attacks (Heroic Duty only works against normal attacks), the range is greater here (5 vs. HC=3) , Agents don't move as part of their power (Supes moves adjacent to them), and lastly this one only works on friendly Agents (as opposed to all friendly figures). The way I see it is that Supes must do it, and then the object of an attack is no longer an agent so SHIELD Agents can't use this power then.
I think I could go with Common Heros as well, but I prefer the squad approach. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
Yeah, I like them staying as squads too ... I just couldn't figure out how to word the power otherwise.
I don't dispute the originality of the power you proposed, I just wonder how messy it'd feel in gameplay. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - Design Phase
DRAWING FIRE
If three SHIELD Agents you control attack the same enemy figure, but do not destroy that figure, you may immediately move all Agents you control within 3 clear sight spaces of that figure up to 3 spaces. (Or some variation upon this? Basically the theme would be that the enemy figure is getting so much fire that he can't stop Agents near him from repositioning, instead he has to worry about firing back). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
