I like WA's take on it. I still think we should just leave it at,

"If Squirtle did not move this turn, add 1 to its defense die."

Just had a thought there on the wording. What do y'all think?

Don't you think this will be hard to manage without a marker?

Why bring order markers into it? Just leave it as "if this Squirtle did not move this turn". That gives us the same result with simpler and more concise wording.

The problem I see with this is that you don't defend on your turn and you don't move on your opponent's turn. So, Squirtle would always have the bonus.
Even if you look at your turn #X and your opponent's turn #X as a single turn, if they go first, Squirtle would get the bonus and still be able to move on that turn. IMO, if you go by turns, it needs to be if Squirtle didn't move on the previous turn.

I still like the (current) wording stolen from Estivara's card the best. If it was good enough for the official Heroscape designers it should be good enough for us.

I agree completely.

As for personality, I think Loyal is the best already existing one to give it, and is the best I can think of.
