The Book of Cursed Earth T-Rex
The Book of Cursed Earth T-Rex C3G 2000AD PUBLIC EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION 21 COMBATANTS AND CARNIVORES Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a CollectA figure from the Prehistoric Life set. Its model name is Tyrannosaurus Rex. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Tyrannosaurs are a species of large carnivorous dinosaurs that live in the Cursed Earth, primarily Sauron Valley. Most tyrannosaurs were brought back to life in the late 2000's in a scientific experiment to try and clone Dinosaurs from fossils. Most of them were donated to various wildlife parks but managed to escape from captivity during the Atomic Wars. Many dinosaurs, including tyrannosaurs, made their home in Sauron Valley. The black tyrannosaur Satanus quickly dominated the other tyrannosaurs and became their leader. It was now up to the tyrannosaurs to make new dinosaurs the traditional way. These amorous activities resulted in fresh tyrannosaurs eager to prove themselves. Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
Great stuff here! I am happy with the Crushing Jaws choice.
EDIT: I moved this thread over from the base forum to Public Designs. Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I dropped the Life and Defense and made them Young to justify. I am thinking about a Juvenile T-Rex from Hobby Lobby for the figure.

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I still prefer a defense of 3 here so he can reasonably be expected to block some 3 die attacks. With just one straight forward power and some okay stats, I don't see why he can't still hit 100 or fewer points. Weather Wizard, Armor, and Mister Zsasz are all 100 point figures with some nice tricks up there sleeve.

Yeah, 3 defence seems fine here, to me.

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I'm not sure if I love "Young" as a class. Like, yeah, they're small, but with wildlife we've sort of played fast and loose with sizes and that sort of thing. I'd like to keep these guys as generic as possible, to maximize their scenario potential.
And I'll put in another pitch for a no-power card. I like this ability for a T-Rex, but I don't think "lean and simple T-Rex" has quite as much excitement or pop as "wow, no powers!" on a new card. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
If we're polling, put me down as in favor of the current power over no powers.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I had this for an old write-up:
Spoiler Alert!
Don't feel like you need to use any ideas from it, just thought I would drop it in here if you wanted to pull ideas. Though I'm a little partial to Savage Land Frenzy. On the current design itself, I like the idea keeping it simple, not sure on no powers though. Not a fan on Young as class, it just feels weird (Devourer?). I see some people mentioning bumping defense, I would only be in favor of that if life came down; T-Rex aren't hard to hit/wound, just takes some work to take them down. Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I think I would prefer Juvenile to Young for the class. Crushing jaws seems a little off to me as it feels like he should actually have to “catch” you with a bite and then the crushing takes place. Maybe something like this?
ATTACK = 4 CRUSHING JAWS After an adjacent figure rolls defense dice, if that figure would receive 1 or more wounds from this Savage Land Tyrannosaur’s attack, all skulls rolled during that attack count for an additional hit. Maybe that’s overcomplicating things, but I like that if he catches even just a piece of you, he clamps down and suddenly you’re facing a catastrophic injury instead of a flesh wound. |
