ˇWARNING! - Family Christmas Gift Shopping: Online Gouging
So my mom goes to amazon to buy me a gift. Seems safe enough.
"Heroscape Expansion Set Assortment Kyrie & Dones Price: $27.95 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping. Details Availability: In Stock. Sold by GAMES_BY_TODD and ships from Amazon Fulfillment." "Dones". (She was looking for Drones and Minions.) I told mom, these might be $9.99 on clearance at Target. Remember my birthday? You probably still have an account at HouseMouse... This is deplorable, and "Todd"'s a jackass. If Heroscape is on your wishlist, caution your loved ones to be careful and not get burned. Merry Christmas! |

Thanks for the headsup.

Amazon's prices for Heroscape are outrageous. A couple months ago I checked their prices, and initially I thought that it was just a bunch of errors. They're still insanely high though. Thaelenk Tundra is $99.99, Romans are $35.95, and the lava set is $39.99.

Those aren't Amazon's prices, those are the prices of Amazon storefronts. They are not the same thing. I've gotten great deals on several Heroscape items there. You just have to pay attention. Funagain has an Amazon storefront, and their prices are in line with what they should be. Target as well. The key is using the filter to eliminate those merchants that are using storefronts, so you are only looking at Amazon itself.
