Re: The Book of Charlene Dupre (Public Playtesting)
C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Charlene Army Test Summary: Titans are obviously pretty oppressive, but the Psiots put up a good fight. If the dice were SLIGHTLY more in their favor the game probably would have been much closer. Charlene was definitely the MVP though, dealing tons of wounds. Now the Titans were focused on killing others before her, and she rolled REALLY well for her self-wounding, so maybe in another game she’ll be way more fragile. Map: Custom Units: Charlene, Stanchek, Faith, Livewire (900) Vs Nightwing, Superboy, Starfire, Arrowette, Red Robin (First Aid) (900)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army Test Summary: Charlene is still pretty scary. She threw a lot of attacks out there, many unsuccessful, but her Fire Trails worked to pick away at Thing. The game was still essentially over when Peter mind controlled Johnny to go nova, but it was still a satisfying game. Map: Custom Units: Charlene, Stanchek, Faith, Eternal Warrior, Weather Wizard (1000) Vs. Fantastic Four (1000)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: So far I think she’s great at 140. Definite good potential, but fairly squishy. Reminds me of Hit-Girl in a way, but instead of multi-attacks, she has one big one. You don’t really feel upset over losing her, since usually she goes out in a blaze of glory, which is super satisfying to it. Pretty much an auto-include with Pete and Faith. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: She feels good for what I know of the character. Aside from Pete who is necessary, I think she might be my favorite Valiant character so far. The risk/reward is really fun on here. Fire Trails is reminiscent of Human Torch, but everything is unique enough to set her apart from other fiery characters. |

Re: The Book of Charlene Dupre (Public Playtesting)
Sweet. I really really dig her as a hyper glass cannon here, and its seeming like folks are digging that about her as well. Got one test still floating out there that I'll still wait a bit for, even though I'm feeling pretty good about her. She's naturally got big swings to her because she typically runs with higher priority allies that if they don't die, she can take massive advantage of. The life range and imperfect defenses of allies definitely make nailing that big hit tough but super exciting when it does happen.

Re: The Book of Charlene Dupre (Public Playtesting)
Yep! She's a bit swingy but feels really good. Looks like no one has really gotten much use out of the Fire Trails though. Something to keep an eye on when more movement synergy comes out.

@MrNobody how much rolling do you feel like you were doing on Fire Trails? Obviously zero successes, but what did the ratio feel like? |

Re: The Book of Charlene Dupre (Public Playtesting)
I hot decent use out of it, just not much success. Maybe ~2 or 3 times per game? MM helped a lot.

Test from FreshFoods
Quote:
She's got a 3-3 split on games in Public testing post the Fire Trails change, and 2-1 win loss ratio in the initial. Most wins are close, but losses are generally medium to large. One could probably argue a slight drop, but I'm feeling good at 140 with the big potential she has, and especially what she will have in the faction at the end. I propose we move to Final Editing. |

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |
