Solid point. No fire either, because no oxygen. Should special attacks just not work?? Or should we "because comic books" it?

I was joking, but I think a crazy rule like that might actually really make cosmic terrain pop. Maybe not specifically “No Special Attacks” because there are a ton of specifically cosmic characters with SAs, but something like that could really make space feel special.

Way I see it, there are basically 3 different terrain types we could do here that are kind of similar; space, sky, and underwater. Not trying to hijack, but it would be cool if we could do all 3 as similar but unique concepts.

I think sky you can only move through by flying; space has that but also can hurt you due to exposure and you can drift through. Sky you could fall down in.

Not sure what underwater would be all about, but I'm open to discussing it/a thread discussing it.

I’d do it like;

Sky: Flying figures suffer no penalty, but when a non-flying figure moves onto a sky tile they immediately end their movement and roll the D20, adding X to the roll for each adjacent non-sky tile. (ledges to grab onto) Roll of Y or lower, destroy that unit.

Water: Video game rules, where you have a limited air supply and have to get to conveniently placed air pockets or else you take damage. Obviously characters with some powers are exempt.

For Sky, it's remove them from the battlefield, not destroy them. Then if you have a coinciding ground map, you can place them on an empty space on that battlefield and roll for major or extreme falling damage.

I like the basic water approach. Would you move like you do on regular water tiles as well?

You'd need to find a way to not make Magneto or Graviton ludicrously OP on a Helicarrier map, but I like it. Definitely want to get Sky and Underwater working at some stage.

I think Magneto or Graviton against non-flyers on the Helicarrier is just going to be overpowered (and kinda should be)!

He and Hidicul at least did some painting of terrain to make it look like underwater stuff back in the day. Not sure how far they got on rules.
