The Book of Arkham Inmates
The Book of Arkham Inmates C3G DC WAVE 9 HOMELAND SECURITY The figure used for this unit is a Horrorclix figure from the Base set. _________________________________________________________________ Its model number and name are #052-054 / Executed Convict. The figure used for this unit is a Horrorclix figure from the Base set. Its model number and name are #073-075 / Hook. The figure used for this unit is a Horrorclix figure from the Base set. Its model number and name are #016-018 / Jester. Character Bio - Arkham Asylum is located on the outskirts of Gotham City and is where those of Batman's foes considered to be legally insane are incarcerated. It has a long and brutal history, beginning when its own architect went mad and hacked his workers to death with an axe. He was convicted and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in the same asylum he had been building. Arkham Asylum does not have a good record, inmates such as the Joker have frequently escaped at will - and those who are 'cured' and released tend to re-offend. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
NAME = ARKHAM INMATES
SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = COMMON SQUAD (3) CLASS = PSYCHOPATHS PERSONALITY = INSANE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 1 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 2 POINTS = 60 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT After rolling defense dice for an Arkham Inmate, you may move him up to 5 spaces, if possible. If he ends his movement adjacent to the attacking figure, the attacking figure receives 1 wound. When moving with Aggravated Assault, an Arkham Inmate will take any leaving engagement attacks. FRANTIC DISENGAGE If a figure rolls for a leaving engagement attack against an Arkham Inmate and does not roll a skull, the figure receives 1 wound. Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
Cool. I think those two abilities work together really well and create for some interesting decision making for both players.
For Counter Assault they DO take leaving engagement attacks. Wasn't sure if I should spell it out in the text though. |

It doesn't change the design any. I'll update that now.

Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
My only question is with an auto-wound capability, are three of these guys gonna own Batman? Thematically, I could see him handling a couple squads with no problem, but I think two squads would mechanically have a big edge. Maybe a 20-sided roll is in order. Just theoryscaping.

Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
Counter Assault only works against normal attacks and so Batarangs are still gonna take these guys out pretty effectively. It's also only for non-adjacent attacks so Batman could also close the gap on them and take them out in melee combat.
Now if Beat Cops try to shoot an inmate and miss |

Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
I really like the Counter Assault power, but am I the only one who feels like it belongs better on a fighter or martial artists rather than a bunch of crazies?
I feel like the strength of a group like this is numbers, not fighting skill, and that a swarm movement of some sort would fit better than the Counter Assault power. It's not a design killer for me or anything, but some food for thought. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Arkham Inmates - Design
I think of it as an insane headfirst charge attack. Certainly a reusable power on another card that can capture a totally different theme. I could see it on a potential future Black Widow.
