I would like to consider myself an original; and although I'm a casual player, I might consider competitive play as well. Perhaps in the future I can see a Houston Vs Dallas/Fort Worth Tournament. It could happen....

One caveat about my son and me. We both share the mindset that we play Heroscape to have fun, not necessarily to win.

That is, we haven't spent even one minute of our past two years of HS playing to try to put together the killer army that can beat any other army. We always choose an interesting assortment of figures and terrain and see what story develops and see how everyone interacts.

With that said, I can't imagine us ever entering a competitive tournament.

Then you'll fit right in. We are not competitive either. We are a fun bunch. I myself use Dund and Gorillanators all the time. Not to say we aren't good at the game, but we do go for fun teams instead of cutthroat ones. I have to say, our group is very laid back, even in defeat.

Heck, I take my fun armies TO competitive play.

And get creamed.

Anyway, I'm down here, too. League City, to be specific.

Gee, I hardly ever look at the meet other scapers thread, I've found an H-town group... I guess it would be good to communicate.

Sorry I’m late… we definitely need to get the central location working with my schedule. Does the 16th of December generally look ok for everyone?

New to the game and I love it. My son and I have been playing the heck out of our two combined games and would like to find other players to throw down dice with. We're in the Crosby area just east of Houston...
Any games going down?

As Rick said we are working on a central location near downtown. This will hopefully be convenient for all. The 16th sound great to me, I'll bring my lil' bro who's visiting from Chicago.

I just accepted a job for when I graduate, and I'll be moving to Houston in June. Should I join the list now?

Hey, i've been playing for about 3 months now. I'm also more of a casual player as I've only been playing with my wife. My friends seem to be to busy to want to play(most are in college). Hopefully in the future they try it out. Anyway i live near the galleria area so i definetely want to join the fun.
