Crixus, did you watch any of the videos? I'm guessing no.

I did, and if you noticed I started off by saying I didn't think that would happen.
I was just trying to add a little optimism to counter some of the doom and gloomers saying it won't be anything like what we see now and probably will be completely useless.

Well, now. The two videos seem to show greater compatibility with Scape than I had dared hope. With a year to go or so until production, with that other company producing compatible tiles, and with the vented hopes and fears of the community which seem to come down to subjective emotional reactions, it will be an interesting year at that!

Well I'm excited, either way. Even in the context outside of how it might benefit my existing Heroscape collection, this sounds like an interesting and fun tactical miniatures game. I'm going to continue to be excited and positive until I have a good reason to do otherwise.

Based on Tom's report the number of minis would seem to indicate the game will come with 1 Planeswalker and 2 squads per color, for 35 minis total. The D&D Release only had 10 minis.

Keep in mind board game prices range from $35-$120 for miniature board games. My guess is MSRP will be around the $50-$60 area.

Yup. And I'd be pretty much fine with that price point for what it looks like we are getting from this system.

Not when they get discounted to $10-25 on Walmart's Toy Sale Section

Re: Magic: the Gathering Strategy Board Game (Looks HeroScap

I see potential quicksand tiles for my scape. Magic never interested me, so I may just buy these sets and convert them to scape. Let's hope the land tiles and figures blend decently with scape!

Looks pretty cool.

Not the issue. They aren't doing it because they have money, they're doing it because they want to make money. In their opinion (and I happen to agree), this will be more profitable to them at the moment that a HS relaunch.

Which of these do you think costs more to produce?
