Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
Because it's relevant to this one:
Back with my thoughts in a bit. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
He's a solid stat block and his awareness can make him scary to attack and hard to auto wound but he doesn't have any obvious go-to army builds and even with his advantages, he's about 30 points overocsted, IMO.
3/B C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

My thoughts exactly. But I have to say that I've only used him a handful of times.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
I mean, I had that gut feeling already, but I ran him on the calculator just now and got 365 and I couldn't really disagree. No actual attack avoidance powers and only 5 Life feels pretty light for 400 points.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
I really like this guy. I wouldn't argue he's not a bit overcosted, but he's solid.

Really? I have had this guy take Supes and others about 50% of the time. 3/B+

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
Yeah his counter is NASTY. Especially in a stat boost army (Which were basically the meta in the past, at least). I'm sure he could be sick with the new JL synergies too.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
Ah, yeah, I'm probably not giving him enough credit for being a Champion.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
He’s decent, but hard to justify him being 160 points more than Cap when you consider their similar stat block and survivability. 370-380 he’d be a bit of a better sell, IMO. 3/B

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Master Mold
He's a neat design that's possibly a tad overcosted for what he does, despite nice stats and a resurrection issue. That said, the fat there is nice for if more powerful Sentinels come along to make his resurrection and activation powers better.
I think the biggest weakness of the Sentinels in general is magnified with him -- slow move and thus low overall threat range makes it hard for them to consistently use their turn efficiency to get off attacks. 3/B- C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
