Had to Google it, but looks like the Ironclad Collective also comes from Noxdorma, so there may be some anti-synergy between the two factions, or something along the lines of Isamu with Jandar.

IE repair equipment during battle.

Exactly. It seemed like the speculation was leaning towards Clockwork Combine as being the enemy of the Ironclad Collective, when I could easily see it being that they are helping them.

It seems like Ironclad could put some tinkerers to good use.

It seems like Ironclad could put some tinkerers to good use.

Perhaps we'll get both. Some Clockwork are allied with the Ironclad, repairing and upgrading them, but others are working against them and have abilities similar to the Repulsors with the Soulborgs. Or maybe the same ability could do both, depending on if your running with or against them in your army.
