Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Penguin I)
Self-Importance seems to hit just enough to be an annoyance, but pairing him with Street Thugs or just loading Order Markers on him and going with Bodyguards and Hired Guns largely makes that fine. He's a low cost Crime Lord with decent offense, so he always has use, even if he's not terribly strong. I'm going to give him the slightest of edges over Black Mask and put him at 3/C-
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Penguin I)
I'm not very high on this guy - at least with Raph's Self Importance its easier to work around because of Leo and Splinter helping you to manipulate the roll, and Raph is a better activation than Penguin in most cases.
However, I am gonna take Penguin over Two-Face I or Ventriloquist 100% of the time. A 2 star for me Last edited by FreshFoods; February 24th, 2021 at 04:58 PM. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Penguin I)
Yeah when Raph takes over at least you get the triple attacks.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Penguin I)
Played him once on a random draw and he was pretty awesome but that was against figures in the 100-150 point range.
Can you attack normally after using the SA? |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Robin *Tim Drake*)
Classic. Probably the most solid and consistent Robin we have.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Robin *Tim Drake*)
The Robin you protect instead of the Robin that protects you. He doesn't shield Batman as effectively, but he's a nice offensive piece. Ideally you engage someone with him and a Vigilante both and get in that nice extra attack.
The comparison to Dick Grayson Robin is really what holds him back competitively. 3/B- C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Robin *Tim Drake*)
It's hard to ignore the Grayson comparison, but Tim is solid. He wants a Vigilante that will stay alive, but most of our Vigilantes aren't anything special defensively. Daredevil I and Tim make a solid 300 point block though ; Daredevil's Blind Senses activate often enough that he'll likely stay alive longer than most Vigilantes, keeping Tim safe.
A 3/B. He's fine filler for a Vigilante build, but he doesn't really stand out. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Robin *Tim Drake*)
He's the Robin I use the most. Just a solid addition to any Vigilante army. I generally run multiple Vigilante's at once so he can just bond with which ever one happens to be going and when one goes down he's still got another one to bond with. Bat Grapple usually gets him up to HG on someone, then an attack of 4 at Range 5 is a nice little add on to whatever the Vigilante is doing on offense. Never felt like he wasn't worth the points investment so I'll give him 4 stars.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion Yellow Lantern *Arki
Eviscerate is really nasty. He pairs well with both Sinestro Corps Soldiers and Manhunters. He's also solid with anyone who lets him replace markers or who boosts D20 rolls.
He's never not felt worth his points for me. For how sturdy he is, 310 is really a steal. A/4. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
