Just had a thought. What if it was a unique spell, but if you have a MD figure with the class/species/personality combo of ________(Nemesis only) still in play, at the start of the next round you get the spell back. That way he (or a MD ally of his) can cast his signature spell once per round every round he's in play, but then once he's gone it's not coming back any more. Other MD figures can draft it when he's not around, but they only get to use it the one time.

Just the chosen figure. Not sure exactly on the round restriction. Originally had it as an Unique spell.
EDIT: Yeah, pretty much how I had it originally. Ppl seemed to want this as Common though.

Could also maybe reduce their range to 0 unless they are on a water tile.

Just spit balling some ideas here. Glad to see you've come back around to this spell. Looks like a cool one.

I don't see the need for it to be Common. It seems like a fairly iconic, rare spell that deserves the status of feeling like an event. I quite like Yodaking's idea of making it a bit stronger. As for Odysseus's question, what if it straight up auto-killed common figures? Fits in with how a lot of similar effects work, and I do recall you saying that he did use this to kill someoen at one point.
I'm with Yoda, though - good to see you come back to this. I was a little worried it's get forgotten.

He did use them to kill an old woman, That was like his first comic.
Way better received than the last time around.
I actually prefer Unique, was just trying to go with what was stated before.

Not sure I entirely like him getting the spell back as he never uses it more than once per comic. Would it be possible to lower the cost specifically for a Warlock?

Eh... only to lower the cost if you control a Warlock, rather than if it's cast by a Warlock, I'd imagine. A better route would probably be a scaling power depending on whether a Warlock casts it, or just making it Warlock specific.

If he only uses it once per comic, then yeah that looks like the better approach. Since it's his spell, he can generate more flies and better lower the range value than others who are casting the spell. Would consider going -3, -6 though. Just seems like if it only going to be used once and has a limited time of effect, the effect should be a little bigger.

IDK, the auto destroy of a squad figure has the potential to easily take out 30-40 points while the range reduction on a UH is tactically important, I can't imagine it's direct impact is as large. Lowering Hawkeye's range might just mean he has to reposition to attack, but he still can attack. I'd consider tossing a d20 roll on the auto-destroy so it isn't automatic. Then I'd test the spell at 10 points and see how it feels. Start out with a fairly easy to hit d20 number and adjust it up if you feel like it's too easy.
