Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
The One Shield Defense ruling that Scytale quoted above seems to conflict with that, Killo.

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
Right. I believe the difference is that Poison Weapons is a special power that takes place after an attack, while the extra damage from Poison Sting Special Attack is spelled out in the special attack wording itself and thus not a separate power.

Yep. Typing up my wrong long answer took too long and he posted his short correct answer while I was doing that.

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
I think that the wounds are basically extra wounds added on to the attack, so TBR can only teleport reinforcements after all the wounds. If TBR dies to poison damage, he can't summon any reinforcements.

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
OK, why is this the case but Leaf of the Home Tree Aura only gets to cancel the poison wounds, and not the 4 combat dice wounds as well?

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
Well, geez, MW, I could have told you that Scytale had the right answer before he even posted! So no credit for that response.

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
I agree that everything Scytale has posted is correct. But unfortunately he was merely correcting others. He never actually answered the question - Does TBR need to dice off with Sujoah for priority before he can place figures with Teleport Reinforcements? And if not, then what is different about this case from the Cover Fire versus Dying Swipe example mentioned earlier?

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
HA!
I think the focus should be less on me, for not looking at my own post containing the answer, 4 posts up from my question, and more on Megasilver for claiming it "will be added" 21 months ago. Anyway, that still does leave my second question: why is there no dice-off for timing priority here, like there is in Cover Fire vs. Dying Swipe? Why does Teleport Reinforcements always get in first? Just trying to understand the rationale here. You know... for science. Last edited by dok; February 19th, 2015 at 10:02 PM. Reason: Actually, not the first time I've re-asked the same question in a book when the answer wasn't added to the OP. |

Re: The Book of Tul-Bak-Ra
What would the ruling be for Cover Fire vs. Teleport Reinforcements? Is that a dice-off? How about Poison Weapons vs. Teleport Reinforcements, or Coil Crush vs. Teleport Reinforcements?
If those are dice-offs, then what makes Poison Sting SA different? I assume knockback still takes precedence over Teleport Reinforcements, courtesy of "immediately"? |
