Ya but it's just one squad right there at the start. If your heavy hitter can kill even one, it greatly reduces the threat there.

Anyone else having the same problem? I guess I could errata if it's a widespread problem.

Finished water dungeon. The gang of Concan, KA, Kelda, Raelin and Brave arrow made fairly easy work of the ice room. KA dropped all comers with quick release. I did summon the retchets, and one did get a lethal sting on KA, but then my son called earth key armor. I don't think that was legal, but I felt bad for him so I let him have it that time because he's so in love with KA. I told him that was his one mulligan though.

However, I got my revenge in the flooding tunnel. We're at advanced, so I got Jotun on the yellow zones nearest the heroes. I won init, and Jotun ran up and blocked them into start zone. He proceed to spike and attack KA to death, and then snapped Broken arrow for a cool down. The kyrie flew over him and finished him off, and then they dropped Guri-oni pretty easily. Rules question: KA died, and had both earth and fire keys. He dropped them in the first zone, which subsequently flooded. I allowed my son to get the keys and redistrubute them after the battle, even though technically they were under water. A little rules hole to consider in the FAQ.

Fortunately for him, he had three kyrie for the final spire. I won init, flew down Cyprian, who rolled a 20 on chill touch against Raelin. Mwuhaha. Concan answerd and dropped the hammer on dracula and took him down in three turns, sustaining four wounds himself in the process. Kelda patched Concan up easily, and it was no prob finishing off the Dumatef and brokenhearted Sonya.

For the unlockable characters, I also let him take Sonlen and the new D1 dwarf. I think the knights really benefit from a hero who has 2 types of attacks (like Sonlen, KA).

Good trades: Hogg, Grimfang, Onacara, Sleightofhand, 'Scaper94, orec, Snappleman, R˙chean, lefton4ya, odbo255

I hadn't considered losing keys to the flooding. I'll have to get back to you on that.

I avoided a lot of the high cost heroes because I feared they'd be too strong in this setting. You're welcome to use the D1 heroes, or the expensive ones even, if you like. It's your game. I just wanted it to be compatible with everything that had been released up to that point.

My best friend, my brother and I played last night. I was the DM and they played the knights. They completed the air dungeon without too much difficulty but the earth dungeon proved to much for them. They did fine in the 1v1 in room1 but lost 3 knights in room to to the trolls and the other three in room 3 to the Drow. It is a good battle field and we hope to try it again soon.

...Is there any way to get the Shield of Arrow Deflection and/or Tome of Resurrection? If so, how? If not, why include them in the rulebook?

The Tome is granted in the 3rd room of the Fire Dungeon. The Shield... I don't recall exactly. It's possible I had it in the Water dungeon but ended up giving Brunak a different ability in the final editin, and since I'd already made the thing I went ahead and included it. Sorry for the confusion. I'll see if I can find it.

It says Seeking Ammunition in the Fire Dungeon-only printout. Strangely, it properly says "Tome of Resurrection" in the 38-page full guide. You might want to work on fixing that first part.

Say, these dungeons... the sets required to build the dungeons. Are they to build the entire dungeon at once? Is it possible to minimize sets required by only building 1 room at a time in a dungeon?

I can't find Volcarren Wasteland wherever store I go. What should I do for the fire level?

PS: Don't say Ebay, I don't use that.
