You want to talk about funny looks. My wife and I were at a Meijer near Toledo when we were there for my high school reunion and found the master sets on clearance for $10. Picked up 6 more for me and 3 for her brother. Nothing like puching a cart load of Heroscape through the store.

Huh? My girlfriend is the ONLY person I play Heroscape with, and she loves it (though not as much as me!)

I will be 39 in few months and am 1000000% not ashamed...my wife I think isn't embarrassed that I love the game so much 'cause I pretty much just play with my boys and family members who I have gotten hooked on the game...I think she has more of aproblem with the fact that I am a bit more into it than my kids so I am constantly on here reading about it and working on customs terrain and figures..but she is warming up to it a bit....we are having another child on March 9th so I have not been buying new stuff..although she does let me look when we go shopping...if by chance I find something we don't have I usually point it out to her and she then sneaks it into the cart and gives it to me at home accompanied with the usual "you have been really helpful so you deserve it"....ok maybe I am a little ashamed now

LOL

I think you can justify it by saying you do HS like some people do model trains. Nobody has a problem with grown men working on model trains, which are also just toys.

LOL, that is true, and there are also lots of words I make up, that nobody has any idea what they mean.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Actually, I've seen that men who are into model trains are just as stigmatized as grown men who are into HS, maybe even more.

That is priceless.

My wife is less than enthusiastic about playing, but does enjoy the scavenger hunts for more stuff. She was on a TarMart TRU tour Tuesday. She sheepishly admitted to checking on HS stock in each store.
My wife won't play but does think that some of the maps look really cool so I have gotten her that far... it's only a matter of time...

Rath Dé ort!

The key to getting the wife to play is the kids. She won't tell them no.

Shopping on the other hand, you don't have to ask twice.

I'm 46 and look for new stuff every time I go to the store. Even if I don't have any money.

I play with my wife and daughter.

Family fun.
