My Vikes rocked and rolled, as expected, though it was a rough start, initially. Favre continues to prove that he's worth every penny as he now has 20 TDS and 3 Ints.

Crap! I just saw that injury...that'll really suck. Although with Tramon Williams as our backup, he's still really good. But now our nickel packages are going to suffer...not good, but I do think the Packers are pretty well situated to absorb it nonetheless.

Also how is Brett Favre doing what he is this season? It is ridiculous. His best full season was only 13 INT's. Oh, and he is at 21 on the season now...pretty crazy.

At least the Packers have the Lions next week. Every team feels better after facing the Lions, except the Browns I guess...

Nice game for the Pats today, really dominating. The Jets had only one good drive the whole game. Now we get another undefeated team on the road. It would be nice for them to pick up a win there and prove they can win on the road.

What's probably helping Mr. Kirby - I mean Mr. Favre - a lot here is that he's able to take off the ends of games. You know we either are winning by a lot or we suck when Tarvaris is in the game. And in reality, he's actually done okay in his limited time this season anyway.

Now, this is more pre-emptive than everything else, but,

Hey, if he can go through the end of the season like this and take the Vikes to at least the conference championship game, heck, he's done quite a job for a team with Adrian Peterson. And certainly better than Jay Cutler as of late.

What Favre has done has been impressive. But let's be honest - it's a lot easier to look good when your opponents are keying on stopping Adrian Peterson. Favre isn't in the top 10 in yards or completions. AP is second in attempts and third in yards. The Vikings are defined by the punishing efficiency of their running game, which sets up a solid passing game. Farve's been very efficient, for sure, but in order to be the most valuable, you must be both efficient and prolific.

There's another guy out there who's been roughly equally efficient, but has had to carry a team with pretty lousy run blocking and no appreciable running game. But that guy won the MVP last year, so hey, let's give it to somebody new!

If I were voting for a QB for MVP, Favre would be 5th on my ballot, after Manning, Brady, Brees, and Schaub (who's quietly having a monster season, carrying an offense that struggles to run the ball even more than Indy does). I'd also think about voting for Steven Jackson, who's piling up yards despite playing against stacked fronts. Still, how valuable can you be if your team isn't winning? (I guess without him, they would have gone 0-16... so that's something.)

I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving: with Stafford being out for the Lions (hope he gets better, along with Al Harris and Kampman ) we should have an easy game.

It'll be 7-4 without Kampman and Harris for the rest of the season according to SI. They're both having season-ending surgery.

Yeah, without them, the Packers are going to hurt a little bit.

But when you look at it, they can absorb it. Tramon Williams is a good backup, he played well last year when he covered for Harris. Otherwise Kampman hasn't been that great fit at linebacker anyhow, and we got some depth there.

I'm not saying that we'll keep on going like nothing's wrong, but it shouldn't affect us unduly. Especially considering the games we have, I really only seeing it change the Ravens game perhaps.

Ravens game will be really close, but I think the Pack can still pull it out.
Bears game we should win, Jay Cutler seems all to happy to give the ball to the other team.
Loss to Pittsburg probably.
Win over Seahawks
Win over Arizona (Whom I don't think they'll be playing for anything.)

The Packers should still be able to make the playoffs right now I think.
