I also have a write-up or two that does the 'no figure' thing, but I wouldn't push for that angle here. I think 'figure that probably just hangs out in your start zone' is close enough to the feel I'm going for.

I don't mind her packing some firepower if she does have to take the field in the endgame, and it would be a shame to give a figure with that giant gun (the mini does have that gun from the art I posted) just 3 Attack.

Just spitballing a few possibilities here:

-Some sort of initiative bonus based on number of Androids in your army
- Some kind of useful support power (bonus to one or more types of rolls, attack, defense, d20) for androids, maybe requiring reveal of an X order marker
- Ability to move unrevealed order markers off an Android when it is destroyed and onto the card of an agent squad.

I think end users might find it odd that there's no special power for the gun, just an attack of 4. Something that dominates the sculpt like that usually begs to be directly translated onto the card.

Yeah, I like the idea of figure less units, but I'd keep it to specific instances.

I personally would at least want the card to have a figure of some sorts, even if it never appears on the battlefield. Then of course if the player wanted to just not use a figure they wouldn’t have to.

It could be really cool to have a character like Khonshu who has an impact on the battlefield (helping Marc Spector) but never appears to fight.

I think giving her a SA to represent her BFG could be cool.

I'd be fine with lifting BFG off Rocket and dropping Monica's stats to R1. A3.

On figureless cards, it might be a better idea to file them as their own category of draftable thing, like Qualizium suggests. They don't need the usual stats anyway, and it makes it a little easier to do blanket rulings for them.

I didn't kick this off in its own thread because I wanted to gauge interest first.

Also, I have that other rules addition thread that I remembered I've been neglecting lately. I'll try and get that rolling again before I start pushing this any harder. Gotta FIFO my weird projects.

(Although if anyone else is invested in the figureless card concept and wouldn't mind taking point, definitely start up a brainstorming thread!)
