Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Bodyguard
I kinda wish they had a similar power to the Beat Cops because they should theoretically guard someone but they hardly feel like that.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Bodyguard
The tie down aspect is useful, but I get that too. They just never seemed to mesh with the criminal faction.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Bodyguard
They pair well with Hired Guns and any Masterminds or Crime Lords who can get use out of an activation without attacking or moving. Bodyguards gum up the works like Deathreavers, Hired Guns snipe people with their double attack, and the Mastermind/Crime Lord does their trick between.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Bodyguard
Quote:
Some of the Crime Lords/Masterminds that might work with the Bodyguard/Hired Gun combo are both Black Masks, Red Mist, Lex Luthor I, Ra's Al Ghul I, and Boss Smiley. I think Black Mask II with a Bodyguard/Hired Gun combo could be solid. Show an OM on Black Mask, move Bodyguards to tie up units, shoot with Hired Guns, then take a turn with a Criminal. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hired Guns
If you can protect them, they can tear through an army, especially of mid-level heroes and squads. Give them a screen and any attack boost and they're nasty. 3/3 stats and how their offense slows once one or two of them falls keeps them in check, but 8 attacks of 3 is no joke.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hired Guns
I first started using them when I was designing Two-Face (II), and realized how brutal they are. Very much undercosted, IMO.

I love these guys, particularly with Lex I and a Kryptonian.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Bodyguard
I meant to comment: I’m glad they don’t. Heroically laying your life down to protect another is a theme I like on Beat Cops. On Bodyguards hired by criminals I like that theme less. Better when the Masterminds use them to save themselves.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hired Guns
Love playing these guys but absolutely hate to see them across from me. Many a mid-tier hero has gone done to them. And like
@Tornado
, I stopped playtesting with them.
