Obi-Wan selects Luke for Jedi Mentor
Round 1
Darth Vader moves forward. Luke advances. Stormtroopers advance. Leia advances behind Luke. One Stormtrooper climbs ladder, with second underneath. Two others move to outside of left structure. Obi-Wan moves ahead next to Leia/Luke.
Round 2
Rebel Troopers advance. Stormtrooper reaches roof of right structure, other is at top of ladder, two others move from start zone.
Luke moves to interior and fires from range and height at Stormtrooper on outside (1sk-0sh = ko/11 left).
Two Stormtroopers move to shadow in interior. One fires at Luke (0sk). The one on roof moves in position to fire down on Luke (2sk-2sh = 0w/4 left). One appears at entrance and fires on Luke (0sk).
Rebel Troopers near Leia pick up her Inspiring Leadership bonus and move into interior. One fires on Stormtrooper in shadow (2sk-2sh = 0w). One fires on Stormtrooper at entrance (1sk-1sh = 0w). Other fires at Stormtrooper in shadow (1sk-1sh=0w).
Darth Vader steps ahead.
Round 3
Princess Leia moves next to Luke and fires at Stormtrooper on roof with Fire From Cover bonus (1sk-0sh=10 left).
Two Stormtroopers move from start zone. Another reaches roof of right structure. Stormtrooper at entrance (aka “sitting duck”) moves into interior and climbs two ladder rungs, remaining engaged with adjacent Rebel Trooper. He fires down at Rebel Trooper with IM bonus. Rebel Trooper has Hold bonus. (3sk-2sh=8 left)
Two Rebel Troopers move from start zone, and one fires on Stormtrooper on ladder (2sk-1sh=9 left). The other next to Leia fires with her IL bonus at Stormtrooper in shadow (1sk-0sh=8 left).
Darth Vader positions outside of left structure and out of sight.
One Rebel Trooper climbs outside ladder. Two Rebel Troopers with Leia’s IL bonus move, with one climbing inside ladder. Rebel on ladder fires down at Stormtrooper outside (1sk-2sh=0w). The other at ground level fires down on Stormtrooper in shadow (2sk-0sh=7 left).
One Stormtrooper moves from start zone, other moves out of sight next to Vader, one on roof positions to fire down on Rebel on ladder with IM bonus (2sk-0sh=7 left). Another is at gap between structures to receive Vader’s IP bonus, then fires on Rebel at ground level with IM bonus (0sk).
Round 4
Leia makes a break for the entrance to Fire From Cover from height/range on Vader! (2sk-1sh=1w/3 left)
Vader Force Chokes Leia (4=NOTHING!).
Luke moves in front of Leia and fires on Vader (0sk). I guess he isn’t here to rescue her.
Vader opts to get height on Luke and attack him. (4sk-3sh=1w/3 left).
One Trooper reaches roof and fires down at Vader below (2sk-5sh=0w/3 left). Another climbs ladder on right structure and fires down at Stormtrooper (3sk-2sh=6 left). Another climbs ladder on left structure and fires down at Stormtrooper (1sk-1sh=0w).
Stormtrooper moves from start zone. One on roof fires across to Rebel on ladder (4sk-1sh=6 left). Two move within Vader’s IP bonus. First fires down at Luke (2sk-1sh=1w/2 left). Second fires down at Luke (0sk). This still triggers Luke’s Daring Escape, and Luke moves up next to Leia.
Round 5
Vader climbs next to Leia (FFC bonus) and attacks (1sk!!!-0sh=1w/3 left).
Luke climbs level to Vader and attacks (3sk-1sh=2w/1 left).
Vader Force Chokes Luke (16=2w=KO!). I guess Luke failed Vader for the last… oh, never mind.
Leia decides to hold position to maintain her FFC bonus. She fires at Vader (3sk-4sh=0w/1 left).
Stormtrooper on roof fires on Rebel on opposite roof (0sk). Another moves next to left structure and can’t see Leia, so fires on Rebel (Hold Steady bonus) on ladder (0sk). The other two climb next to Vader to get his IP bonus and fire down at Leia (FFC bonus) (3sk-1sh=2w/1 left) (2sk-2sh=0w/1 left).
Rebel Trooper on ladder climbs to roof next to Stormtrooper and fires (2sk-1sh=5 left). Another moves from start zone along outside and fires on Stormtrooper next to Vader (1sk-1sh=0w). The Rebel on left roof fires down at Vader (1sk-1sh=0w/1 left=almost!).
Round 6
Vader Force Chokes Leia (14=1w=KO.) Leia loses turn.
Vader moves under entrance to get out of sight of Rebel on roof.
Rebel on outside moves back and fires on Stormtrooper near Vader (2sk-2sh=0w). The one on roof fires on STrooper below, since he can’t see Vader (1sk-0sh=4 left). The Rebel on right roof moves to position where he can see Vader, but is out of range.
Two STroopers move from start zone. Another enters interior shadow space and fires above on STrooper on right roof (2sk-2sh=0w). The third is in Vader’s IP range and fires down at Rebel on outside (4sk-1sh=5 left).
Rebel moves from start zone. Rebel on right roof fires down on STrooper in shadow (2sk-1sh=3 left). Rebel on left roof moves to edge to fire down at STrooper near start zone (1sk-0sh=2 left).

Play continues without recording… One Rebel killed, and last STrooper killed in Round 8, Turn 1.

Comments
Spoiler Alert!
This battle took a LOT longer to play than normal due to addition of COLOR tags. I think it’s a great way of keeping the different sides straight. When I tried to post, the tags didn't work! Well, nuts. It's just as well, as it was far too time consuming.
One thing I may do --- I may play some battles without recording every detail. I may do this if I'm testing something specific, running a battle between the same forces again, or other reasons. I'll want detail on most battles, but there may be occasions where the detail might not be as important as the battle results.
This was a fun battle! Leia had some great rolls. Vader – not so great, but he did get the job done. All units were fantastic (except I didn’t really get Obi-Wan in the battle). I love Leia’s abilities, especially Fire From Cover. Luke’s Daring Escape kicked in during a time where he couldn’t really get to a good position due to requirement to end out of engagement. Vader’s Force Choke is powerful, but he has a strong normal attack that is also useful.
My initial impression when I began reviewing the cards was that the Stormtroopers were a bit out of whack compaRed to the Rebel Troopers. Let me explain: compare the number of Rebels on the field compaRed to the equivalent number of Stormtroopers. For example, you’ll find that 5 squads Rebels (15 figures) roughly matches 2 squads Stormtroopers (8 figures). That felt out of proportion somehow. However, when I drafted for both sides, the setting “felt” right to me in the number of figures on the field for both sides. I think this is because the Rebel side will tend to field more heroes than the Empire, so my initial concerns were incorrect for this Episode. We'll see if that concern occurs in future Episodes.
Balance between the two sides felt right to me.
