No, it was probably like the seller posted something like: I have a bunch of stuff, PM me for details. Then a buyer PM's back "I like the following things on your spreadsheet." Then the Seller PM's back, "OK, I'll create a Buy It Now auction #999 with those items for you to buy at price $xyz." Buyer PM's, "OK." Then Seller creates auction #999 and Buyer goes in and clicks Buy It Now.
So if you like a random grab bag of Heroscape that gets cancelled by the Seller after you buy it, then yes, you should have snapped it up
