There is no retiring age among the knights of the Vanguards, but a knight who is no longer able to perform his duties as he once did is expected to step down. This is a celebrated event for many, in which a grizzled veteran can take off his armor for good and spend time with his family, knowing that his youth was well spent in the war against the dead. But Addolgar Vayne had no family, and so he chose the second option for a warrior who had passed his prime. He became a questing knight, sworn to continue his service to the Mistress of the Vanguards by travelling the globe in search of more Summoning Stones. Addolgar Vayne spent eight years travelling into Far Esta before he heard rumors of Kravlas. Now he has arrived at the dungeon’s entrance, prepared to face horrors beneath the earth in order to find an ancient treasure for his people.
