Yeah, he's interestingly a bit of a counter-counter (count?) because so many defensive powers deny normal attacks but are vulnerable to special attacks. Here, he can cover that weakness.

Though it's notable that a lot of area effect special attacks can get around his trick by choosing spaces rather than targeting figures.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
