Kind of cool that that quick fix for Batman that just had the Demon mention so that it felt thematically justified will actually result in some potentially cool synergy.

Yeah, at the time it was more of a necessary mechanical fix, but as soon as N'astirh came along, some interesting possibilities opened up. There's some fun interplay between Demons and MD figures and Hell Lords coming up in the magic release for sure.
