I'm not sure I would use the phrase 'blew my mind' here but I will say that I was a bit stunned/shocked/surprised that they elected to wipe out so many higher profile MCU characters all at once. Black Panther, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, & Star-Lord! Maybe 2 of those guys, but I wasn't expecting all 4. I was expecting Thanos to 'win' though and wipe out half the universe in this chapter, I guess I just wasn't sure how that would break down for our heroes.

I do like how they spared all the original MCU avengers though, so the heroes we had in the first Avengers movie will be the heroes that will save the day in A4 (along with some help from Rocket/Ms. Marvel/Ant-Man/etc.). I think that also means that one or more of the original Avengers could get killed off in A4 with no way to undo it. Most of those who were wiped out with a snap of his fingers all have future movie deals to fill so we can safely assume that moment will be undone, but anyone killed before or after that snap might be permanently gone (other than Gamora who is in the Soul Stone and I expect will get released somehow).

Couldnt have said it better. This is what I was referring to Bats. For the record. I liked the movie. Disney has handled marvel pretty well.
