Character Bio - Elektra was born on a Greek island on the Aegean Sea. Her father, Hugo, was a successful diplomat. Her mother, Christina, grew apart from her father and started to have affairs. She let her affairs be known publicly, which humiliated him. When Hugo ranted to his son, Orestez, he told him that his mother was shaming the family. Orestez would soon hire an assassin, who attacked Hugo and Christina when they were at home. Christina died while giving birth to Elektra. At first, Hugo did not want to raise a baby that was not his, but after test results he discovered that he was her father. Orestez realized his father did not want him to kill his mother so he ran away. Elektra and her father grew close together and he would shower her with gifts. One day kidnappers came and assaulted Elektra, but her brother returned as an accomplished martial artist and saved her. He introduced himself to his little sister and tells his father that Elektra needs to learn self-defense. Orestez left soon after and Hugo hired a martial artist to train Elektra.
Elektra grew up and attended Columbia University in New York City where she met Matt Murdock, (later
Daredevil), for the first time. The two began dating. When Elektra was 20 years old, she and her father were kidnapped by terrorists. For the first time, Matt wore a mask, and he tried to save them. When the police thought the terrorists were throwing their hostages out the window, they opened fire and killed Hugo right in front of Elektra.
Elektra quit school and began studying martial arts. She would eventually encounter a man named Stick who saw all the anger within Elektra. He decided to train her to influence her to be good. Elektra would eventually join
The Hand where they would train her to become an assassin. Over the years, she fought both against Daredevil, and at his side, against The Hand.

-Rulings and Clarifications-- Q: Could you use the Green Power Shield or Yellow Power Shield special powers to avoid taking a wound from Elektra's Deadly Barrage Special Attack?
A: NO. Because Deadly Barrage doesn't allow defense dice to be rolled, and both powers are only activated instead of rolling defense dice normally. If you're not in a situation where you could roll defense dice normally, you can't choose to do a power that activates instead of rolling defense dice normally like Green Power Shield or Yellow Power Shield.
