I don't believe there has ever been any discussion that she has an easier time mimicing the powers of mutants, but she did it much more often. I also figured that making it harder to mimic others would reduce the number of builds we would have to really worry about in testing.

FWIW the power text is more or less a direct copy of Impossible Man's Shapeshifting Prankster, only with Mutants getting the boost instead of Scientists/Adventurers.
