Not sure the bolded part is necessary, since the member within 3 spaces practically can't be activated anyway.
but if your squad is normally 3 & you have 10 of them & 1 is within the 3 spaces then you can just choose a different 3 that doesn't include the one within 3 spaces.
Ah, true. Thinking in terms of unique squads for some reason!
