Yeah. In GIMP when you go to save the file, click on the 'plus' sign next the option of 'Select File Type' and then choose GIMP XCF. You have to save it as a GIMP XCF file if you want it to have all of the separate layers information
Thank you sooo much, you have just saved me hours of editing, deleting, and retyping on all my future customs.
