Re: All-Heroscape Mega-Tournament - 2018 to 2020

Here are the first couple of battles from Jutanguard.

JUTANGUARD REGIONAL

Round 1 - Battle 2 @ Ascension
Drake's Redcoats: 10th Regiment of Foot x3, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Sgt. Drake Alexander v1 = 435 (#96, 1-2 -151)
Tor-Kul-Na's Grubs: Marrden Nagrubs x3, Tor-Kul-Na, Wo-Sa-Ga = 445 (#33, 2-1 +355)

Yikes ... Onward soldiers!

Last figures standing ...

January 24, 2020. Drake’s Redcoats, the last army to make the Big Dance, took on the highest ranked army in the first round, Tor-Kul-Na’s Grubs, in what turned out to be a tight match. Wo-Sa-Ga was able to slither in to put some wounds on Marcus and take out a few of the 10th Regiment, but some wait-and-fires and a big attack by Drake were able to take down the big serpent. The Wannock glyph played a roll in this battle, as Drake and the Grubs took turns being taken off the map as both armies battled for the glyph. Tor-Kul-Na entered the fray to take down Drake and the rest of the redcoats. All that was left was the big monster and Marcus at the end. MDG fought valiantly, but finally succumbed. Team Nagrubs won with a narrow and thrilling 73-point victory to move on to face #32 Galdy’s Knights in what promises to be a close, even battle.

Round 2 - Battle 6 @ Ascension
Tor-Kul-Na's Grubs: Marrden Nagrubs x3, Tor-Kul-Na, Wo-Sa-Ga = 445 (#33, 3-1 +428 )
Galdy's Knights: Death Knights x3, Sir Hawthorne, Skull Demon, Gald'Rabok = 445 (#32, 2-1 +420)

January 24, 2020. The #33-ranked Grubs moved on to battle #32-ranked Gald’Rabok and his Death Knight army. It what was promised as a close battle turned out to be exactly that. Wo-Sa-Ga went after Galdy early, taking him out before he could use his blizzard attack or healing mojo to much effect. Play ensued fairly evenly. Sir Hawthorne gave Tor-Kul-Na some fits towards the end, but this battle ended the same way the previous one did, a thriller. Tor-Kul-Na was the only one left standing with two lives remaining. The Nagrubs move onto Round 3! Congrats to Longy418 for the two wins, and for Skylar getting them into the big dance almost two years ago.

The full bracket for the single-elimination tournament is in Post #2 of this thread.
