Just curious; why does it not work on Droids? I thought that it wrecked havoc on electrical equipment too? Or is that another version?
Force Choke simply cuts of oxygen (at least as portrayed in the movies) so we decided that we should give Droids/Soulborgs and Undead an immunity to it. It also provides Vader with a much needed weakness.
