Battleball before Heroscape sounds like a great idea.
We squeezed in a game of
Spurs using the Gambler, the Pioneer (BGG promo), and the Rancher. I was the Gambler and ended up doing better cattle rustling and horse breaking than I did gambling and digging for gold, his supposed strengths. It did actually help digging for gold, but I couldn't keep the desperadoes from stealing it after I dug it up.
