Freddy was rolling hot early on, attacking Professor X and Psylocke in their dreams. Professor X was forced to move on turn 3 otherwise he risked being killed. He then learned it's far safer if he just moves Turn 1, and then he's safe for the remainder of the round. However, that's what opened up the others as targets. Meanwhile the Mutants infiltrated The Wrecking Crew's base and started dealing out deadly shots. Wrecker would fall, as would Bulldozer, but Piuledriver answered back by taking out Wolverine, but was eventually bested by Psylocke. Jason had been camped right next to Professor X and Sage, trying to force leaving engagements on Professor X if he moved, or slash Sage if she ended her turn adjacent to him, to decent success. At this point, Freddy's luck had run out and he rolled a blank on his roll of 3 on Sage, which put him adjacent to her. He whiffed several attacks, which meant Professor X didn't even need to burn the X. The Mutants whittled down Jason and Freddy, trying to ensure once they were killed, they'd stay dead. Freddy was killed by Psylocke, Sage was killed by Jason, and then Psylocke ended Jason to end it.
I think his potential to be really nasty is there, but it only takes 1 blank for him to get shut down for a bit. At that point, you almost feel it's better to try and use some turns with your other units that are likely getting beat on, so Freddy is a sitting duck that can essentially be left alone. Though, if you want him back in the forefront, he'll need to take someone out if the opponent won't take him out, so it still gives you a feeling of choice and control.
Thoughts so far?
