Greetings ‘Scapers!
The past several months have been busy ones for the C3V. Following the Age of Annihilation crowdfunding campaign, December and January found us slowly ramping back up to our normal production speed. This has been a particularly productive period for new designs, as we’ve seen twelve new units leave the Brainstorming phase and enter Design in the past three months alone. The Executive Review Board will be publicly announcing the miniatures for many of these designs in the weeks to come. I’m particularly excited to see how the novel approach to bonding mechanics presented by the additions to the [REDACTED] faction play out in testing, and am also looking forward to how the faction’s lore will further develop a relatively under-explored setting within the Heroscape universe.
We’ve also taken steps toward bringing on our next Public Access Member. Moving forward, the C3V will be welcoming new Public Access Members into the Inner Sanctum more frequently, as we believe that this program represents an important avenue for community involvement with the project.
There have also been some significant changes made to our Fiction process which will allow us to have a more organized approach to the work of fleshing out the bios and lore for C3V characters. With this renewed focus on fiction and worldbuilding, it's our goal to gradually complete the missing bios for previously released designs while developing new storylines and background for future waves of C3V releases.
Pack 4 of Yngvild’s Vision played a key part in this ongoing endeavor as it introduced the second original C3V world, Dyer 3, and we are looking forward to further exploring the characters and stories this new world has to offer.
